Sustainability

Problems arise when we don’t look after the resources we have and will increasingly arise if we fail to ensure there are enough resources for future generations.

Problems such as:

  • Loss of animal homes and natural environments
  • Climate change – rising temperatures
  • Climate change – melting polar caps and rising sea levels
  • Increase in pollution – land, sea and air

The world’s top ten countries for sustainable foods…

1. Singapore, Asia
2. Netherlands
3. Canada
4. Finland
5. Japan
6/7. Denmark (tie)
6/7. Czech Republic (tie)
8. France
9. Austria
10. Hungary

Your task:

  1. Research how Singapore is being sustainable. Specifically, research what ‘Hydro Hub’, ‘Powering Up’ and ‘Green Living’ are in Singapore. Create a poster highlighting your research.
  2. Write a letter to Boris Johnson (our prime minster) to explain how the UK needs to take more notice of how Singapore is being sustainable. Persuade Boris to implement strategies that Singapore is using.
