During this half term we will be looking at popular holidays destinations all around the world!
Think about the following questions:
Have you been on holiday before?
Do you go on regularly go on holiday to the same place?
Who do you normally go on holiday with?
Do you prefer hot or cold holidays?
What would your dream holiday destination be?
We are going to create a questionnaire to complete with your family or a friend (over the phone) about their favourite holidays! Think of 5 questions to ask them – this could be ranging from where they like to go on holiday, to what they like to do on holiday. Here is a questionnaire example for you to use if you wish:
What have you found out from your research? Is there a popular holiday destination? Do people like to do the same activities on holiday?
Research
Using your questionnaire and the internet, research popular holiday designations around the world. Where do you think the most popular holiday destinations will be? Do you predict that people will prefer to travel abroad or stay in the UK?

Present your findings how you wish. Maybe you want to make a PowerPoint presentation, maybe you’d like to create a poster like the example below. The choice is yours!
EXT: Look up the climates of these places. What are the temperatures like during summer? Is it the same as England or different? Then, choosing one holiday destination, can you make a new travel brochure for people who wish to visit there? Include: location, climate, diet, excursions, prices…
